Producer: Georges Duboeuf
1951, at the age of eighteen, Georges Duboeuf began delivering wine to local restaurants on his bicycle. Since then he has become one of the most important and influential wine producers in France. Often described as the King of Beaujolais, Duboeuf is also its most tireless ambassador, though his range now extends far beyond that region. This wine comes from the vineyard owned by the Domaine Les Chenevières. The owners have lived and worked as winegrowers in the area for a long time. The domaine itself has been passed down from father to son for at least five generations. The vineyard covers twenty-seven hectares and lies at an altitude of 250 metres. The soil is clay and limestone. Beautiful hints of honey and a soft, rounded palate with notes of apple.
