The Company was founded by Dr. Leonildo Pieropan in 1890. Leonildo & Teresita run the Company now with a winning combination of passion and competence and it is their interpretation of Soave Classico that is considered one of the finest from one of the most prestigious wine regions in Italy. Pieropans also produce this Passito della Rocca, originally created for the family's personal drinking; this wine does allow for some internatiuonal varieties, being composed of 60% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% Riesling and 10% Trebbiano, fermented and subsequently aged en barrique. An excellent value for money dessert wine wiht a nose with honey, acacia and walnut aromas and on the palate a long finish with apricots and toasted almonds.
