The Prunotto family were always in possession of some of the best vineyards in the Barolo area in Piedmonte just outside Alba. With the added resources of the Antinori family who bought the winery in 1989, the wine making has now reached another quality level by combining the experience of two top names. The Barolo has aged for 24 months on French and Slovanian Oak and 12 month in the bottle before releasing. The Barolo has a deep red colour and the nose is wide and complex with hints of violet and forest fruit aromas. On the palate, full and velvety and well balanced. Due to its structure and characteristics, it is a perfect match for meat and game dishes, and tasty cheeses. Ideal serving temperature 17°.
