Clearing up bin ends after Christmas and preparing for the next 6 months is paramount for January. We visited several trade-tastings to be on top our game and find you the top quality wines from each region. Most tastings are listed on the WSTA web-site. The Wine and Spirits Trade Association who promotes the responsible production, marketing and sale of Alcohol and to share best practice with the entire trade. We visited the Terroirs & Signature de Bourgogne; the biggest New Zealand Wine Tasting outside New Zealand; the portfolio tasting of Liberty Wines and last but not least Gambero Rosso the top Italian Road Show. Shortly we also will visit the Portfolio tasting of Michel Druitt Vintners & Porta Ialica Vini. Last but not least we also will go to the Importer Trade Tasting..
"A Fact about us - Decanter World Wine Awards" At the Decanter World Wine Awards this month our quality choice of wines was confirmed as 5 of our listed wines got a Regional Trophy Award - the hightest award given. WE are quite proud of this and outdoing Majestics and Oddbins. A good result.
"Stronger than Ever" we have concentrating on building up a really good wine supply to ensure that we do offer something special compared to our competitors. Since September 10th, 2007 Marleen is now fulltime on the wine business and can now really follow up on these leads and referrals, more wine tastings, more hampers & wine gifts that is what we are aiming for. we also will be at the wineshow london on the 25-28 October 2007. Do visit us there.
"No News is Good News" and that is certainly the case for us. The last 2 quarters of 2006 were exceptional busy, we had a very succesfull Wine show London the last week of October, we did gain lot's of business via referrals from BNI. Two other things which really kicked off were wine tastings which we organised for a Blue Chip comnpany, the Surbiton Hockey Club and a well-established Wine Society. Also we prepared Christmas hampers for a client which was very well received. Our motto this year is more wine tastings, more hampers and a growing customer base. Do you know if someone would like to evaluate their wine cellar or build one from scratch we are the ones to contact.
Last week we joined the Wimbledon Chapter of BNI, an international Business Network Organisation. This will provide us with many more opportunities. See link for information BNI Wimbledon.

From the 30th of April - 1 May we had a stand at the Design Weekend in the lovely surroundings of Tatton Park in Cheshire. The food and culinair section was well-visited, but it was a pity that the weather gods did not work with us on the last 2 days of the show. We met at the show also the Cognac Cellar Company, which we recommend if you looking for ‘real and excellent’ French Cognac.

Quote from Joe Wadsack, Wine Specialist Writer & Broadcaster gives an insight in our classic wines “An astonishing smorgasbord of carefully chosen wines at perplexingly low prices, some obscure cult offerings, and some not so. If you like handmade wines with a bit of bottle age, but don’t want to pay a king’s ransom, this is the first place to look. I don’t know how they do it, but I know one thing. Never look a gift horse in the mouth.” 16 December 2005
Visit us at the BBC Good Food Show - 2 - 4 December at Earl’s Court in London; Friday 9:30 - 5.00; Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 till 6:00. Do not miss this exciting event.
Quote from Robert Joseph, Author of the Good Wine Guide and the French Wines Guide below stresses what we stand for “The Wine Show was full of great stands, but my pick of the fair without any doubt was AdVintage Wines. No other exhibitor offered the opportunity to taste mature examples of so many good wines - and at such ludicrously low prices. Small firms like this deserve to do well and my money is on Axels and Marleen's 2-month old who was at the show throughout, having a very healthy company to take over when she grows up.” 7 November 2005
